This is part 3 in our local review series where the Monjoo tell you where they’ve been and what they think of their home town of Bath.
Grillstock is a chain restaurant which can be found in Bath near the train station in the new food quarter. The eateries here are housed in and around the arches of the 19th century railway station, originally built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It’s a great place to head for a relaxed night out offering tons of choice for eating and drinking.
So K Clingy – how was your visit? I love, love LOVE this place! it’s like a visit to the deep south. You eat your dinner off a tray – no plates! The walls are made of tin. It is super coolio fandoobitastic!
OK then! And what did you eat? Fried onions, fried potatos, fried chicken, pickles and beer!
Not a place to go if you’re feeling health conscious it seems? Pickles are quite good for the digestion actually!
Would you take a date or a mate? It’s a bit raucous for romancing… but there’s a cocktail bar next door!
How many ‘mon’ stars would you give it? 11
But the scale only goes to 10? OK then 7
